In 1977, Jack and Linda Stickland started Jack's Place in Lucknow, Ontario. They began dealing in antiques and used appliances. In the early 1980’s some of the area Mennonites began making chairs and odds and ends. Jack eventually got them involved in making more furniture such as cabinetry and tables also bedroom furniture.

In 1993, Linda wanted to branch out a little bit further to keep her finishing shop busy and started a new store at The Trails End Farmers Market, just east of London on Dundas street.

It became so busy that sons, John and Vincent, became involved and started doing all the deliveries. In 2007, John took over the business and continues to provide high quality standards that his customers has become accustomed to over the years.

In September 2017, John opened a new showroom in Arva, Ontario, and double the square footage in 2020. As of October 29, 2021, the Trails End Market location has permanently closed, allowing John focus on his showroom in Arva. The Arva showroom is located on the northwest corner of Richmond St. N. and Medway Rd, just 5 minutes north of Masonville Mall.
